The frequency, in generally understood as the number of oscillations per unit in time, has a special meaning for the amateur radio operator.
Their using are the basis of his scientific hobby. Based on international agreements, the radio amateur has the opportunity, by using private radio transmission systems, to exchange their knowlege world wide with like minded radio ameteurs. By doing these, it will be collected knowledge about conditions of dispersion and of technical natural sciences. The excahnge of experience, but also the increasing understanding of technical issues and the almost never ending potential of areas of applications and possibilities for wireless information transmission, represent the attraction of every radio amateur. The following table will give an overview of the spectrum / frequency ranges for the amateur radio service. |
